Introduction
Stories and legends about "water horses" have been told in the Scottish highlands for centuries， though there's no clear link to the Loch Ness monster.

The first opinion:

1.Early in 1934 there was a land sighting of the beast. Arthur Grant， a young veterinary student， was out on his motorcycle one evening when he almost ran into the monster as it crossed the road. Grant's description of the thing， small head， long tapering neck and tail with a bulky body and flippers， seemed to match the appearance of the plesiosaurus. The plesiosaurus， an aquatic， reptilian contemporary of the dinosaurs， was thought to have been extinct for at least 65 million years.

Using 600 separate sonar beams and satellite navigation technology to ensure that none of the loch was missed， the team surveyed the waters said to hide Scotland's legendary tourist attraction but found no trace of the monster.

On 20 April 2012 a Loch Ness boat skipper photographed a sonar image of a long 5ft wide unidentified object which was apparently following his boat for two minutes at a depth of 75ft. The skipper ruled out the possibility of any small fish or seal being what he believed to be the Loch Ness Monster. A scientist from the National Oceanography Centre has said that this image is a bloom of algae and zooplankton(盛开的藻类、浮游动物).
Our opinions:
As human beings，we all have some superstition，because we couldn't explain a lot of things even use the science.And we always stand by what we believed. So when someone come up with the opinion there has the Loch Ness Monster，we believe it in our subconscious (潜意识）.So the only explanation for the persistence of the myth of the monster is that people see what they want to see.
