Interview Job Requirements: We are seeking qualified applicants for teaching and research in the areas of construction informatics and geo-information systems (GIS). Currently， central areas of research are GIS applications and photogrammetry combined with laser scanning technology. An extension of research activities to the field of construction informatics is intended. Intensive cooperation with other chairs and research units of RWTH Aachen University is explicitly desired. Teaching will cover Bachelor of Science courses in construction informatics (CAD， C/C++)， geodesy， and applied statistic and Master of Science courses on photogrammetry and GIS. The starting date is October 1， 2012. A Ph.D. degree is required; additionally， habilitation (post-doctoral lecturing qualification)， an exemplary record of research achievement as an assistant / an associate / a junior professor or university researcher and/or an outstanding career outside academia are highly desirable. Ability in and commitment to teaching are essential. German is not necessary to begin but will be expected as a teaching language within the first 5 years.
