When she was 5,her mother died of cancer. Her father had a very low income, so they suffered a hard and tough life. ♥ However ,her father, a graduate of St John‘s College of Cambridge ,was knowledgeable and often taught the children to read newspaper and magazines. Influenced by her father impact on her since childhood so she strongly interested in literature. . “Bronte sisters” Emilly Bronte: Wuthering Heights 《呼啸山庄》 Anne Bronte: Agnes Grey 《艾格妮斯·格雷》 The Tenant of Wildfell Hall 《怀尔德菲尔府的房客》 the beautiful girl Jane taught an adopted child of Rochester Plot Summary —The structure of the book Jane’s childhood at Gateshead Hall Jane’s education at Lowood School Jane’s time at Thornfield as a governess Jane’s time with Rivers Jane ‘s reunion (重聚)and marriage with Rochester childhood ♥Jane Eyre was born in a poor family. But her parents died in succession(相继死去) within a month when she was a child. So she became an orphan. ♥Little Jane was entrusted to(委托给) her uncle and aunt. When her uncle was passed away, Jane lived an ill-treated(受虐待的) life about 10 years in her aunt’s home.Jane's childhood at Gateshead, where she is treat badly by her aunt and cousins Lowood school Bad conditions in Lowood: ♥ malnutrition and coldness ♥mental and physical punishments to students. ♥ She gets good friends but also suffer from oppression. Thornfield She learns pleasures and pains of love through her relationship with Edward BUT… On their wedding day, someone gave evidence that Rochester had got married for 15 years. ♦The law prevented R&J’s marriage. They were both caught in enormous agony ♦Actually,R married a wealthy mad woman who had a family disease. He lived a painful and miserable life. ♦But Jane has no choice but to leave him. Themes Morality Love and passion Feminism Atonement(赎罪) &forgiveness Independence and freedom Love and Passion Feminism The role and standing of women in the Victorian era is constantly debated by Brontë throughout Jane Eyre, specifically in regard to Jane's independence and ability to make decisions for herself. As a young woman, small and of relatively low social status, Jane, however, believes in the importance of women‘s independence, and strives to(努力) maintain a position in life. Her initial lack of money and low social status doesn’t unnerves her, as she realizes that those things are just seemingly flashy(浮华) . Beautiful sentences Beautiful sentences My views Jane Eyre is very much the story of a quest to be loved. Jane searches, not just for romantic love, but also for a sense of being valued. She is poor in her living condition, but she is huge in soul.We still remember her goodness, self- respect and the brave to pursuit equality. In my mind, though a person’s beauty on the face can make others once feel that one is attractive and charming, but if his or her mind isn’t the same beautiful as the appearance, the beauty cannot last for long time . For a long time, only a person’s great virtue, a noble soul, a beautiful heart can be called as long-lasting beauty.xeE红软基地
