The college now has 520 academic faculty members， of which 38 are professors， 159 associate professors， 19 academic leaders and 27 research directors. The number of students is more than 10，000， with 5972 undergraduates and 280 postgraduates. Part 3 Students， Faculty Members & Achievements in Scientific Research 自1978年以来，学校先后承担教研和科研项目340多项，获国家级教学成果一、二等奖各1项，国家级科研项目奖4项，省、部级科研项目奖74项。（其中……通过国家级鉴定） Since 1978， the college has assumed 340 teaching and scientific research programs， and has won 1 national first teaching prize and national second teaching prize， 4 national scientific research prizes， and 74 provincial， ministerial scientific research project awards. Among these， the system of multiple-subject commination and special fresh water fishery teaching won national top-level award in 1993. The research and practice of Teaching System and Practical Skills Training Mode in Aquiculture won both a first for provincial Awards for Achievements in the Teaching Profession in 2000 and the second prize of excellent teaching achievements of national ministry of education in 2001. The 'Artificial Breeding and Aquaculture achievement led by Wangzichen gained the first-level reward of national technology improvements in 1990 and rewarded the second-level in 1991. In 2000， we took one of the 863 Programs organized by our country about ‘The Study of Effective Breeding Technology passed the on-site check by the ministry of science and technology， which has reached the international advanced level， and listed into the industrialization promotion projects by the Ministry of Science and Technology. In 2004， one teaching and reform project hosted by Liuhuanlaing of ‘The establishment and practice of aquaculture professional teaching innovation system’ passed the state-level test. DAC， under the goal of “building a better college of ocean”， will be committed to make more contribution for the development of national marine aquaculture industry.
